In addition to standard and custom solutions for industrial hydraulic cylinders, Hänchen also offers series cylinders. Series of hydraulic cylinders at Hänchen start with a quantity of 30 and include a bore up to 140 mm and a stroke up to 1,000 mm.
When designing standard cylinders, we take a holistic approach to offer them with an optimised price-performance ratio:
- Materials, seals and other characteristics are defined according to customer requirements.
- Unnecessary standardised modules are omitted or replaced by special designs.
- Framework agreements with suppliers and internal processes are optimised for this series.
As a Hänchen customer, you can directly contribute your wishes, problems and difficulties. In this way, you define exactly what you need and what you don't. We avoid over-engineering in this way. The effort for series production is worthwhile if follow-up orders are planned! Ask us!
Hänchen is a supplier and manufacturer of special hydraulic cylinders for use in test machines. Test actuators are perfectly suited for highly dynamic industrial and testing tasks, such as for use in material stress test stands for aircraft components.

Our clamping units hold round rods when the clamping head is de-energised. Therefore, their use is suitable for the protection of people, machines and tools
- in case of power failure, e.g., in hydraulic presses, casting machines, and machine tools
- when the plant is shut down to save energy, e.g., in production processes
We offer two versions, both are also available with DGUV Test certification:
Locking unit Ratio-Clamp®
The locking unit can be used horizontally or vertically and is released via hydraulic pressure. It clamps and opens very precisely at the same rod position.
Safety Catcher
This fall protection for vertical, gravity-loaded axles is released via hydraulic or pneumatic pressure. It primarily serves as clamping protection in an emergency and prevents uncontrolled lowering. Due to the self-locking principle, a return stroke of the rod is necessary for opening after load engagement.
Whenever you require more or less force or a different fluid for specific processes, pressure and fluid transformers are a quick and cost-effective solution.

Founded in July 1925 by Herbert Hänchen in Penzig, Silesia, the company began as a vehicle repair and contract workshop. Even then, the fine machining of metal surfaces was a crucial part of the work.
