Environment and climate
In our society, we are not only talking about climate protection, but we are also increasingly recognising the need to take action.
By improving the energy efficiency of our buildings and using renewable energies, we are reducing emissions at our locations. We also support our employees with various offers to reduce their CO2 footprint on their way to work.
This CO2-saving corresponds to a CO2-volume that 27,000 trees bind in a year. Until then, our annual electricity consumption corresponded to 342 t CO2
Calculation assumption: 380g CO2 emission / kWh according to BDEW | A beech tree binds approx. one tonne of CO2 in 80 years, i.e. an annual average of approx. 12.5 kg. Beech forest with approx. 800 trees / hectare.

As a family-conscious company, we take responsibility for our employees. With our family service, we cover the costs of advice in the areas of childcare, life situation coaching, support in the event of illness and care for family members, as well as income and budget advice.
The Hänchen pension plan offers an opportunity to specifically supplement the benefits of statutory pension insurance. Employees who take advantage of this offer receive a subsidy from Hänchen.
The health of our employees has the highest priority in our company, which is why we not only carry out regular checks on occupational safety, but also ensure that all employees are equipped with the necessary protective equipment. Health surveys give us an insight into the burdens on our workforce and enable us to take targeted measures to improve employee well-being.
Continuous further education is a key factor for the success of our company and the personal development of our employees. We offer a wide range of further education opportunities to continuously expand the skills and knowledge of our team.
The equipment house in the Olgakindergarten, which we created in 2018, needed a new coat of paint this year. With the support of the training manager, our trainees diligently wielded the brush and made the equipment house shine in new splendor.
There are also many children and young people who live on the streets alone and without a roof over their heads. We support the „Schlupfwinkel“ contact point in their work, where they provide a warm meal, a place to sleep and encouragement.

We are supporting the football department of TSV Oettingen as the main sponsor for the next 5 years and are therefore pleased to be able to contribute to acquisitions and events in youth sports.
As an education partner for local schools, we offer, among other things, an annual application training course to prepare the students for upcoming applications.
By financing art and music therapy, we want to support children with cancer in dealing with their illness and give them small breaks from everyday hospital life.

Social commitment
With our energy, we help various institutions to implement practical measures. Through our annual donation at Christmas, we support various social projects. As a sponsor of clubs and as an education partner of schools, we are committed to our region.
Energy efficiency through the selection and use of our products
Our goal is the development, manufacture and sale of high-quality, durable and environmentally friendly products that make a positive contribution to the environment.
We continuously strive to optimize our products with regard to energy-efficient production and resource-saving use by the customer by regularly identifying and implementing potential improvements.
Our hydraulic cylinders are particularly characterized by their compact design, which leads to a reduction in energy requirements due to lower moved masses and at the same time minimises transport costs. The use of lightweight materials achieves additional savings effects, which further increase the overall efficiency.
With a sophisticated design, we ensure the long service life of our products. We attach particular importance to ensuring that they are easy to maintain and easy to repair if necessary. In addition, we rely on high-quality materials with high recyclability to make the entire life cycle of our products environmentally friendly.
Our sealing systems are characterized by their low friction and high tightness, which leads to mechanical and hydraulic efficiency improvements. Through continuous testing and the development of new seal concepts, we offer extremely energy-efficient solutions.
By using our energy-saving clamping unit Ratio-Clamp®, customers can significantly reduce the energy consumption of their machines. This solution proves to be particularly advantageous when an axis has to be held in a fixed position for longer periods of time - from a few minutes to years.
With our test actuators, the piston position can be defined with millimeter accuracy. This makes it possible to achieve the required force with small working areas and low flow rates. As a result, smaller peripheral components such as valves and lines can be used, which leads to a compact and efficient entire plant.
If occasional peak performances are required in an application, the use of accumulators is often more advantageous than purchasing a large power unit. This solution enables efficient use of resources and reduces overall costs.
