St. Martin children's and youth hospice service

The children's and youth hospice service is a joint facility of the Hospiz St. Martin and the Malteser in the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart.

Families with a child or young person with a life-shortening illness are supported at home and in the clinic from the time of diagnosis. Children and young people who have to say goodbye to a parent or sibling receive support in shaping their farewell. Everyone who has to deal with a family in which children and young people are confronted with dying and death is advised, as are relatives, neighbours, friends or people who deal with these issues professionally.

We are networked with institutions and experts in the region with whom we coordinate our services.

Weekend for widowed people and their children in the Schöntal Monastery

The weekend is an invitation to experience beautiful things with other adults, children and young people who have a similar fate: talk to each other, play, sing, swim, enjoy the beauty of the Jagsttal. In addition to joint activities, there are discussion sessions for the adults and a programme for the children and young people. People who participate in the group "Living widowed with children" are welcome.

"When the earth stops turning for a moment, nothing will ever be the same again. To be able to accompany families a little way along this path, to be there for them, is a matter of the heart."
