A position transducer electronically indicates the position of the piston rod.
This position signal can be used, for example, as an actual signal in the position control circuit, for monitoring limit values of the position or speed, or simply as a control display of the current position of the piston rod in the cylinder.
A position transducer can be installed integrated in the cylinder or mounted externally. Installation in the cylinder provides a mechanically protected system in a compact design.
The output signal can be an analogue signal, such as voltage or current, or digital information.
