Many are no longer able to look back, as more and more people are developing dementia.
We are very pleased to be able to support the "Vacation in Everyday Life" project of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt with our donation this year. Here, caring relatives together with their partners receive a little break from the care and burdens of everyday life.

Donation for the project "Vacation in Everyday Life"
More and more people are developing dementia. Life is not easy for those affected or for their caring relatives. Relatives who care for their loved ones at home perform an incredible feat of force.
With this year's donation, we are supporting the project "Vacation in Everyday Life", which provides relatives with a little time out. In the Lutzenberg holiday home in Althütte, dementia patients are cared for by a trained care team. Meanwhile, the relatives who usually provide care can enjoy some free time and replenish their force reserves. Various sports, music or dance courses as well as excursions in the surrounding area are available for this purpose.

With our donation, we are enabling the purchase of new equipment for the four training companies in metal construction, gardening and landscaping, as well as in the carpentry and joinery/construction. In these areas, Seehaus offers 15 different apprenticeships.

The Oettingen children's home offers children and young people a home and teaches them values such as love, closeness, appreciation and affection. With our donation, we enable them to participate in holiday camps and excursions.

Therapy for people with physical and mental impairments is sometimes not possible through verbal language. We support full-time care as well as the project "Moving the Soul with Music" for the psychological stabilisation of clients.

There are also many children and young people living on the streets alone and without a roof over their heads in our area. We support the "Schlupfwinkel" contact point in their work, where they provide a warm meal, a place to sleep and encouragement.
