Mounting heads for hydraulic cylinders and clamping units are used to attach the piston rod to the machine.

Mount the mounting head
- Before assembly, moisten the thread surface with screw locking adhesive, e.g. Loctite 243. Please note the type of wetting.
- Screw in the mounting head until it stops and tighten it.
Liquid thread lockers fill the thread clearance and harden after tightening. This secures the thread.
Type A
For nut threads in blind holes (e.g. piston rod internal threads or unslotted spherical rod eyes) when the trapped air cannot escape:
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the lower third of the nut thread.
The trapped air presses the adhesive outwards when screwing in and distributes it over the entire thread surface.
Type B
For open nut threads (e.g. for piston rod internal threads with continuous deep-hole drilling or spherical rod eyes with slot)
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the front third of the screw thread.
By screwing in the screw, the adhesive is pressed inwards and distributed over the entire thread surface.

Maintenance of radial spherical plain bearings
The design of the spherical plain bearings requires maintenance as standard. These must be lubricated regularly according to the load and spherical plain bearing manufacturer's recommendation. Please note our information in the Technical Information - Spherical Plain Bearings
