Holding load and releasing pressure

The releasing pressure describes the pressure required to release the holding load of the clamping unit.

Basic releasing pressure
The basic releasing pressure is in a range from a minimum pressure, which depends on the dimension, and the maximum permissible pressure of 160 bar.

Reduced releasing pressure
The reduced releasing pressure is about 30% below this level and is particularly suitable for applications with low supply pressure, for example in machine tools.

Maximum holding load
The maximum holding load depends on the releasing pressure and can be selected in the HäKo. These values apply to operation with mineral oil. When using other fluids, the holding load may be lower.
