Clevis brackets can be used to mount cylinders with swivel mountings or spherical plain bearings or rod eye plains.
Clevis bracket, straight design
Clevis bracket, angled design
Depending on the spherical plain bearing used, appropriate pivot pin tolerances must be provided.
For example, in round cylinders of series 160 according to ISO 6020-1 and 250 according to ISO 6022, LO spherical plain bearings according to ISO 12240-1 form W are provided. This applies both to the cylinders themselves and to the spherical rod eyes.
In tie rod cylinders according to ISO 6020-2, on the other hand, DO spherical plain bearings according to ISO 12240 form E are provided.
The associated clevis brackets and pivot pins are standardised in ISO 8132 for round cylinders and ISO 8133 for tie rod cylinders.
In order to achieve the desired bearing clearance, appropriate tolerances must be maintained on the housing and the pivot pin.
