Spherical rod eyes are mounted as attachments on the piston rod or on the protection tube.
Together with the spherical rod eye attached to the cylinder body, the spherical rod eye can be used as a cylinder mounting. The cylinder force is thereby applied centrally to the mounting, so that no side loads occur.
This is a cylinder mounting with two degrees of freedom of movement, which enables pivoting installation.
Spherical rod eye
The HäKo piston rod configurator makes it possible to use spherical rod eyes across the series.
For example, spherical rod eyes of the ISO 8132 or ISO 8133 series with a corresponding piston rod thread can be mounted on the cylinders of the Hänchen series 120 or 300. The maximum possible load-bearing capacity must be observed here.
Spherical rod eyes according to ISO 8132 or ISO 8133 are installed in such a way that the spherical rod eye strikes against the piston rod shoulder. Spherical rod eyes of the Hänchen standard strike against the end face.
A spherical plain bearing requiring maintenance is standardly installed in the hinge eye.
You can find more detailed information about the installed spherical plain bearings here under spherical plain bearings.
Assignment of standard spherical plain bearings in the spherical rod eyes
| Series cylinder | Standard attachment component | Spherical bearing ISO 12240-1 |
Bearing clearance | Mounting bearing |
| 120, 300 | Hänchen | Form E (DO) requires maintenance | Group N | permanently installed |
| 120 | ISO 8132 | Form W (LO) requires maintenance | Group N | with retaining ring |
| 320 | Hänchen | Form E (DO) requires maintenance | Group 2 | with retaining ring |
| 100, 160, 250, 550 | ISO 8132 | Form W (LO) requires maintenance | Group N | with retaining ring |
| 660 | ISO 8133 | Form E (DO) requires maintenance | Group N | permanently installed |
Group N = normal clearance
Group 2 = reduced clearance
