Proposal for the equipment of hydraulic cylinders
The suggestion for the selection of equipment features depends on many operating conditions.
The right equipment is decisive for the quality and reliability of the hydraulic cylinder, for its friction force, as well as the wear behavior of the hydraulic cylinder.
In particular, in addition to the working temperatures and the travel distances and speeds determined in the hydraulic design, the type of movement should be taken into account when determining the equipment:

Simple movements If the cylinder is to perform a movement controlled by directional valves or the sequence of movements is subordinate. The lip seal-wiper ring sealing system is recommended for this. |

Controlled movements Controlled movements should be free-moving. The lip seal-wiper ring or Servocop® sealing system is recommended for this. |

Sensitive movements Sensitive, controlled movements require little stick-slip. The Servocop®, Servoseal or Servofloat® sealing system is recommended for this. |

Short-stroke oscillation up to 25 Hz Applications with short-stroke oscillations are defined as movements whose amplitude is smaller than the seal width. The Servoseal or Servofloat® sealing system is recommended for this. |

Long-stroke oscillation up to 25 Hz Applications with long-stroke oscillations are defined as movements whose amplitude is greater than the seal width. The Servocop®, Servoseal or Servofloat® sealing system is recommended for this. |

Highly dynamic movement > 25 Hz Highly dynamic movements require designs of the hydraulic cylinder that are optimised for rigidity. Cylinders of the 320 series are particularly suitable for such applications. |
