Quality of piston rod

The piston rod material 20MnV6 hard-chrome plated with material number 1.5217 is suitable for universal use and is characterised by high toughness and good corrosion resistance.

During hard-chrome plating, the chromium layer is applied in a particularly thick layer after pre-honing and then finish-honed. The layer thickness depends on the rod diameter and has a hardness of over 800 HV.

Hard-chrome plated piston rods can be used between -30 °C and 200 °C.
