Paint coating of hydraulic cylinders
Corrosion protection
At Hänchen, uncoated metallic components receive basic corrosion protection in the form of a phosphate layer. This layer increases resistance, but also ensures good adhesion of a paint applied to it.
In our painting plant, cylinder tubes, covers and many accessories are additionally coated with a layer of paint. This increases the corrosion protection and maintains the product value.
Our standard paint
We use a 2K PUR textured paint (silicone-free) in the color RAL 9006, white aluminum semi-gloss. This paint is specially suitable for mechanically and chemically stressed surfaces and has a very high opacity and scratch resistance.
Painted Surfaces and Components at Hänchen
In order to offer our customers the best possible corrosion protection, we paint all surfaces that do not serve as a connection surface for peripheral components or for connection to the customer's machine or application.
This means that, among other things, the following connection surfaces, components and screw connections - which serve as contact surfaces when the cylinder is installed in the customer application or must be opened - are not painted:
- Sealing surfaces of the line ports
- Vent* ports and screws
- Fitting diameter
- Hinged and pivot bearings
- Pins and flange connection surfaces
- Piston rods and threads
- Seals such as wiper rings
- Connection surfaces for valve assembly
- Sensor technology components
The non-painted metallic surfaces are provided with a corrosion protection agent.
Since 01.01.2022, the covers of the hydraulic cylinders at Hänchen are also painted.
