The piston rod of hydraulic cylinders is supported in the guides in the cover and on the piston. The elongation of guide X0 between these two bearing points determines the bearing load, especially when lateral forces occur.
In order to be able to absorb sufficient loads even with high lateral forces or long strokes, the elongation of guide can be extended by installing a spacer ring.
By installing an elongation of guide extension, the overall length of the cylinder is increased accordingly. The stroke of the cylinder does not change as a result.
